If you have a flying mount this quest is even easier - fly to one of the prophecies, dismount, grab an arakkoa, kill it, get credit for that prophecy, mount, go to the next one. I don't think any of the Arakkoa we killed failed to give us the "Understanding Ravenspeech" buff. After figuring out where each of the totems was it was a breeze. That being said, I did this with a hunter in about 5 minutes. You can only gain "Understanding Ravenspeech" while you have "Soul Attraction."
As long as you're in the area you have this buff - leave the area, lose the buff. I used my flying mount to go over the mountain, to avoid the mobs in the tunnel, and I gained it while still in flight as soon as I neared the ground. You gain the buff as soon as you enter the Grishnath area. Other post: Someone said that the "soul attraction" buff is gained upon killing your first Arakkoa in the area - not true. I was confused for a few minutes checking all the tree towers looking for them. They're tiny little versions of the regular owl/bird totems you see in Arakkoa camps, on top of little prayer blankets.
